NANS JCC Delta State Axis Urges Students and people of Oleh to remain calm
Our Attention has been drawn to the current situation of OLEH Campus following the release of a memo by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Victor Peretomode stating that all 100l Engineering students should move to Abraka main campus in a bid for lecturing and lecturing to take place at its best.
The Isoko Development union led by Chief Idu in response agitated saying since they solemnly fought for the full accreditation of Engineering faculty that the students should not be moved.
Over 200 Students were reported to have been moved under the threatening downpour earlier today. OLEH market women/traders protested against the memo of the Vice Chancellor directing that about 400 students(100level) be moved from OLEH Campus to Abraka stating that it will have economic effects in the community.
The provost of Oleh Campus Prof. Stephen Emosairue who received the angry market women has promised to pass their messages across to the Vice Chancellor.
Also present were Barr. Edward Okumagba, Deputy Dean of students Oleh Campus and Mr. Markson Torugbene Chief Security Officer Oleh Campus.
NANS Jcc under the keen watch of her Chairman; Comr Egwolo Akpere has assured that the issue would be looked into, pleading that the community remain calm for now.
