NANS JCC ,Delta Calls Out To Federal Government To Implement proposed new minimum Wage

The leadership the National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS), Delta state Axis, has pleaded with state governors and the Federal Government to crown the efforts of  Nigerian workers by implementing a new minimum wage for the country.

The Chairman, Comr.Akpere Egwolo made the appeal in an interview with  NANS JCC Delta Media Team  earlier today in Agbor.
He appealed to governors  and the Federal Government to consider new minimum wage for workers across the states of the federation owing to the current cost of living which is very high.

“It is necessary that the government begin the new minimum wage because cost of living is no longer the same.

“The organised Labour Unions are very serious about embarking on the strike which has been scheduled to begin nation wide on the 6th of November, the nation wide protest which took place yesterday has made this obvious".

“commencement of the strike would alter the calenders of institutions across the country,we do not want this to happen as the strike can be averted by implementing the proposed #30,000 which is apparently not enough to appreciate their efforts towards ensuring a buoyant economy".

Speaking further,he urged the FG to act as fast as possible as the commencement of the strike would paralyse activities in all sectors across the country.
